Farnham
swimmers had a tough gala at Epsom on the 17th June, swimming against
swimmers from Kingston Royals, Fareham Nomads, Gosport, Wey Valley and Epsom.
This was a relay gala with 2 individual medleys events.
There
were some greats swims from all the swimmers against difficult opposition with 1st
places for the girls U14 2 x 1 length team of Adenais Vachon and Lucy Primer in
fly (3.10) and breast (33.87). Adenais
was jointed by Catherine Jefferies in the 2 x 1 U14 freestyle in a time of
28.74. Catherine, Adenais and
Lucy were joined by Freya Robertson to win the 4 x 1 U14 medley relay and 2nd
in the 4x1 U14 freestyle relay. Adenais
also won the girls U14 individual medley.
These
were backed up by 2nd places for boys U12 2 x 1 freestyle of Rhys
Davies and Tom Curran, Mathew Teague and David Pallant U16 2 x 2 fly, Catherine
Browne and Adenais Vachon U16 2 x 2 freestyle and third places for Will Miller
and Tom Copeland U14 2 x 1 back, David Pallant and Chris Browne U16 2 x 2
breast.
Oonaugh Cousins and Natalie Jones U12 2 x 1 freestyle, Rhiannon Davies and Stacey Gibbons 2 x 2 free and fly, Rhys Davies and Will Yalden U12 2 x 1 back. The squadron of Natalie Jones, Rhys Davis, Adenais Vachon, Tom Copeland, Katherine Browne, Mathew Teague, Rhiannon Davies and Martyn Smithers finished a creditable fourth, with the team finishing 5th overall.
