Farnham Swimmer headed for the Nationals
The Southern Counties swimming championship is the south's foremost competition for Juniors with competitors from Hatfield, Romford, Portsmouth, Guildford, Rushmoor, Beckenham and Bracknell. The event took place over two weekends and there were some great races despite a few gremlins with the electronic timing.
Swimming for Farnham was Adenais Vachon who swam in the 12yo Girls 100m fly, 200m IM, 200m free and the 400m freestyle, placing strongly against some of the countries top swimmers. Addie's best swim however was saved for the 12yo Girls100m freestyle, where she not only made the overall event final, but also swam a UK national qualifying time of 1m 05.25s, a really sensational achievement.
For the first time in many years Farnham has a swimmer bound for the national championships in Sheffield at the end of July. We wish her all the very best of luck!
