Farnham swimmers chase hard at Guildford open
Farnham swimmers attended the recent Guildford Open meet at the Spectrum pool on 28/29th May. This is one of the South's strongest swimming events with competitors from Beckenham, Rushmoor Royals, Teddington, Kingston Royals, Ealing, Weston Super Mare, as well, of course, from Guildford. Despite the strong opposition Farnham swimmers swam well and achieved some very creditable placings.
There were silver medals for Fleur Robertson (Girls 14 years 50m Backstroke) and Adenais Vachon (Girls 12 years 100m IM). Adenais also gained bronze medals in two further events (200m Fly, 50m Fly). Richard Hall was unfortunate to narrowly miss out on medals with two great 4th places (Boys 13 years 50m Fly, 50m Backstroke). All the Farnham team (Richard Hall, Fleur Robertson, Freya Robertson, Adenais Vachon & Mathew Teague) were inspired by the strong competition and swam great personal best times.
